Honoring all Veterans
&
Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony

  November 6, 2019
San Angelo, Texas

The All Veterans Council of Tom Green County, (AVC-TGC) led by the council commander, Jennifer Jensen, coordinated and hosted a Veterans Day celebration honoring military veterans of all wars at the Cedar Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation senior living facility in San Angelo, Texas, on November 6, 2019. Jensen, a USAF veteran and Texas Veterans Leadership Program Manager at the San Angelo Texas Workforce Commission office, opened the ceremony by welcoming all the veterans, their families, friends and other residents in the Cedar Manor recreation hall. Following the introductions, Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer, Commander Jensen read excerpts from the National Veterans and Military Families Month proclamation that President Trump signed on October 31, 2019. During the ceremony, 6 veterans were introduced by their name, branch of service, and period of service. The veterans then enjoyed listening to their service song and were presented with a special lapel pin and certificate of appreciation by Jensen and CPP committee outreach coordinator and Vietnam War Navy veteran, Amado Molina. This happy and heart-warming ceremony ended with everyone enjoying the cake and decorations provided by the Cedar Manor activity director, Sara Reyes.
